Apostle Hamilton's Bio
Born the second of five siblings in Shreveport, LA, Apostle Hamilton recognized his calling to preach at age five. After graduating from Booker T. Washington High School, Apostle Hamilton went on to attend Charles Harris Mason Bible College in Shreveport, LA. At age 18 he received the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and then accepted God’s call to preach the following year.
Apostle Hamilton’s career in ministry begin as he served for six years as Assistant Pastor to his stepfather the late Pastor/Prophet Wise Walker at the Last Days Church of God In Christ (COGIC) of Shreveport, LA. From there he took on pastoral ship of Gibsland COGIC in Gibsland, LA, for twelve years.
In 1990, Apostle Hamilton founded From Bondage To Freedom Interdenominational Church (FBTF) in Bossier City, Louisiana. (Now headquartered in Shreveport, Louisiana.) Apostle Hamilton has founded through FBTF; FBTF Mission Center (food and clothing bank), The From Pressure To Praise Radio and Television Broadcast, FBTF School of Ministry, and The Dorothy Wilson Fellowship Hall among numerous other outreaches.
Apostle Hamilton has been celebrated on local television and in national and local publications such as ExcellStyle Magazine. He has formed close relationships with civic, religious and social leaders that has enabled him to impact his community. The “Cornell Hamilton Wall of Honor” located at the From Bondage To Freedom Outreach Center is decorated with political and social awards presented by civic leaders, peers and apprentices.
Apostle Cornell Hamilton lives in Bossier City, Louisiana with his wife, Evangelist Patricia Hamilton. He pastors From Bondage To Freedom Outreach Ministries and travels extensively. He hosts several conferences such as "Women of Standard Conference” and “FLAMES OF FIRE Leadership Conference”. |

Our purpose is to challenge and inspire our churches to seek God passionately, and pursue spiritual renewal and expanded ministry. We want to help church leaders to become innovative in their disciple making, intentional in church planting, and involved in supporting national outreach missions.
